Our shea butter is natural and 100% organic. It is produced without the addition of chemicals, according to the principles of fair trade. Manufactured in our factory using a mechanized artisanal process
Our mechanized process for making shea butter follows the same steps as the traditional artisanal process used by African rural women (washing, crushing, roasting, grinding, churning, cooking). It is your guarantee of a premium and authentic “churned” shea butter.
Annual capacity
Wakapou has the capacity to produce, store and ship 300 tons of shea butter per year.
We take great care in the manner our shea butter is prepared to maximize its unsaponifiable content, or healing fraction, which is rich in essential fatty acids. We are proud to offer premium organic shea butter with the following properties:

Made by women’s cooperatives using a traditional artisanal process
This unrefined shea butter is produced in an artisanal way thanks to our partnerships with African women’s associations organized in cooperatives with their own shea butter processing units.

Our cooperatives have the capacity to produce, store and ship 40 tons of shea butter per year.
